Tummy tuck (Abdominoplasty) - Plastic surgery-Indian medical tourism

As a person ages he tends to be obese. Fat accumulates in his body and this will be very much visible in his stomach. Due to repeated pregnancy your weight may increase creating a bulging stomach which will give you an ugly and sluggish look. You might have practiced many exercises and weight reduction procedures to flatten your   abdomen and give a more youthful look.  Tummy tuck also known as abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure used to remove the extra fat in your abdomen. In fact the person who intends to undergo this surgery should have reduced the body weight by exercises before he undergoes the surgery. This surgery is indented to improve the contour of the mid section of such people.
This surgery is usually carried out under general anesthesia and takes two to three hours. For most patients there will be only a mild pain which will be controllable by medications and after about 1 to 2 weeks the patient will be able to resume his normal work.  The patient is expected to start moderate exercises after one to two weeks and vigorous exercise can be started after 4 to 6 weeks. The incision for this surgery is made below the lower abdomen. Another incision is made near the naval to free the naval from the surrounding skin. The surgeon carefully removes the excess fat and excess skin and tightens the underlying muscles. Another opening is made in the belly through which the naval is brought out. Liposuction procedure is also carried out along with this procedure for optimizing results.
You are expected to stay in the hospital for two days only. Most of the stitches in this surgery need not be removed as they will be dissolvable. However the stitching around the naval would have to be removed which will be done two weeks after the surgery. For two or three days you will be asked to walk slightly bending forward. During this period you will be required to use pillows below your knees while you recline. For about six weeks you are not expected to do exercise or indulge in strenuous physical activity. You will be given an abdominal support garment which you are expected to wear about six weeks. Drains placed inside the belly for removing extra fluid will be removed after one week. Initially the scars may look prominent and bulging, but it will lighten and flatten out within 6 months.
