Medical tourism in India is a fast thriving section with a total turnover of Rs 2000 crores in the year 2016 and it is expected to reach  a projected target of Rs 5,000 crores by the year 2020. The important and most attractive part of Indian medical tourism is the availability of accredited facilities comparable with developed countries at a very lesser cost. As per the medical tourism market report for the year 2015, India is the most attractive destination of medical tourism patients with its lowest cost and the highest quality facilities. Indian medical tourism offers a wide range of medical procedures at about one-tenth cost of such procedures when carried out in the United States.
